Dr. David Grand, discoverer of Brainspotting, and Dr. Christine Ranck, Brainspotting therapist and trainer, discuss how you can upgrade your practice with Brainspotting.
"Once I started using Brainspotting on my talk therapy clients, within a year they were all better and gone! And I was so excited because, from my perspective, that's what I want. I want quick healing, I want people to get be able to come in and out and get done and move on with their lives."
Christine Ranck, Ph.D.

Dr. Grand:
Therapists are learning and growing throughout their entire careers and I’ve known therapists in their 70s and their 80s and they’re still learning and growing which is really remarkable and exciting.
So no matter where a therapist is at in their career, in their own development as a therapist, there’s always an issue, well how can I learn more? How can I learn to do what I do better? In that context, a therapist can upgrade your practice with Brainspotting.
Dr. Ranck:
In spite of my background as a psychoanalyst and my experience over many years being psychoanalyzed and also being a psychoanalyst, I found that Brainspotting fit very well with my own background.
Dr. Grand:
Even if you’re well trained in a number of techniques and you’re very successful, it’ll give you certain tools that you don’t have already.
Dr. Ranck:
Ultimately, what I discovered was that once I started using Brainspotting on my talk therapy clients, within a year they were all better and gone! And I was so excited because, from my perspective, that’s what I want. I want quick healing, I want people to get be able to come in and out and get done and move on with their lives.
Dr. Grand:
The idea of finding an eye position when the client is really activated around whatever is bothering them, is really quite unique unto itself. And especially the high precision of those spots. Right over here can be anger. And right over here can be sadness. That close to each other. It really gives a tool and opens the door for a therapist to be able to either upgrade what they’re doing already or make a breakthrough into a whole other way of, not only doing things, but understanding things.
Dr. Ranck:
Not only do I highly recommend Brainspotting for any therapist who is working with any technique, but also Brainspotting fits with almost anything that you’re already doing.
